<p>DON&#8217;T EVER EVER LET SOMEONE TELL YOU CAN&#8217;T DO SOMETHING!  If anything this proves to you that when you set your mind to something and you continue to chip away at it until you hit your goal,dream, or desire!  It can happen!</p>
<p>You just need accountability, and a burning desire.  October 31st, 2009 I made a public promise to not shave or get a haircut until I lost 67lbs.</p>
<p>It took me over a year.  Yes there were times I wanted to quit, and the only reason I didn&#8217;t is because of 2 things burning desire and accountability!</p>
<p>I didn&#8217;t want to look like a liar or a fool in front of tens of thousands of people.</p>
<p>So if you want something in your life just set your mind to it, and cut out the negative people trying to keep you from achieving your burning desire.  And tell everyone what you&#8217;re going to do and do it.</p>
<p>This journey of mine is dedicated to my father Aires Gomes who passed away a couple of years ago and my niece Katerina Nellos who passed away last year, and to all of our health!  Because without HEALTH there is NO WEALTH!</p>
<p>I hope I have inspired you to go out and accomplish your biggest dream.</p>
<p>I truly appreciate you and your support and am grateful for your attention.</p>
<p>My next step is get all this excess flab off me and get completely ripped.</p>
<p>I hope you&#8217;ll continue to join me in my journey.</p>

<p>It&#8217;s almost coming up on a year since I challenged myself to lose 67lbs!  Weight Loss is a very challenging endeavor especially when your 67lbs overweight and you sit on the computer all day like I do.</p>
<p>So 1 year ago after losing my niece Katerina Nellos and my father the year before at the young age of 54 I decided to do something about getting healthy.  Because without health there is no wealth and with a strong body comes a strong mind.</p>
<p>Which need to endure today&#8217;s stress during these challenging economic times.</p>
<p>Staying fit and losing excess fat will give you the strength to endure your life&#8217;s challenges and stresses.</p>
<p>Last week I challenged myself with a detox program from Isagenix thanks to a good friend of mine Kris Carter who introduced me to the system.  It was worth every challenge I endured because it helped me break through my 225lb plateau and ending up at 223lbs when the detox was over.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s been about week since I finished the detox and now I am going for round 2 a 12 day program.  Stepping on the scale today I discovered that I lost another 10lbs since I finished the detox last week.  Leaving me only 13 more lbs to go and I can finally shave this beard.  So I want to inspire you to achieve your weight loss and fat loss goals with me for the next 12 days.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s do this together!</p>

<p>Great when you&#8217;re on them but real shitty when you get off.  And it may not even be your fault that you got off the dang routine.  It could be because of business trips, injury, vacation&#8230;you know what I mean.</p>
<p>So here I am faced with the dreaded getting back into the routine mindset, which we all know isn&#8217;t easy to do.  Especially when you&#8217;ve been thrown some curve balls like, like I have the past week.</p>
<p>And in this case I gladly take the curve ball, because the end result is that everything turned out fantastic&#8230;thank The Good Lord!</p>
<p>So I am back from traveling and attending 4 major events in the past month and half.</p>
<p>Marshall Sylver&#8217;s Turning Point&#8230;Always an amazing event and one I&#8217;ll enjoying going to and inspiring other&#8217;s to go to for as long as I live!  Because it all begins with mindset and there is no better event and teacher than Marshall Sylver!</p>
<p>Then I attended Jason Rodriguez&#8217;s Creative Luxury Property Wholesaling Bootcamp in Orlando, FL&#8230;</p>
<p>Then off to Los Angeles to attend Nathan Jurewicz&#8217;s and Chris McLaughlin&#8217;s way intense, way cool, way awesome Real Estate Investing Event.  Where I met up with everyone including super successful REO Kit students (you all make me so proud)!  Had a most awesome night out on the town VIP Style with Nate and Chris, Canole, Starlet, Downs, Beechcroft, Meara, our friends Susan Park and Jesus Yinh from L.A. and also good old Lou Patin, and ohh yeah King of The Opera Frank Hernandez!  And someone I&#8217;ve wanted to meet for years The Queen of Video Maria Andros.  It was an awesome time.</p>
<p>Then finishing up back in Orlando for Than Merrill&#8217;s and Preston Ely&#8217;s iInvest 2010 event which was the raddest internet marketing and real estate investing event EVER!  Got to witness Pre$ton laying down his mack with event planning and got to enjoy an amazing dance off and night out with like minded folk by the Marriot World Center pool!  Ohh Yeah and Delicious V.I.P. Dinner too, the next day.  It was a great event all in all and I met more great people there as well like Amanda Lantz, and other REO kit students that are killing it right now.</p>
<p>So needless to say it was difficult keeping a routine, I did maintain working out here and there, but not as intense as I usually do, and sticking the diet wasn&#8217;t easy either.  I definitely slipped up here and there, but I did eat well for the most part.</p>
<p>So the routine gets back on track hardcore today.  I spent the weekend and the latter part of last week working towards creating the good habits and getting back into a routine so that this week will be a solid, productive, healthy exercising week.</p>
<p>Just wanted to share what&#8217;s going and wanted everyone to know that I haven&#8217;t fallen off the face of the earth and that I am still going strong here.  Still have this grizzly beard and still have 30lbs to go before I can shave it off.</p>
<p>Hope you are doing great in your life&#8217;s conquests and I hope to keep you inspired.</p>

<p>Anthony Aires here and I am traveling right now.  In fact I&#8217;ll be traveling the rest of the month it&#8217;s going to be crazy and a challenge to stay on track with my working out and diet.</p>
<p>However I am still eating great and working out.  Even though I haven&#8217;t hit the gym!  I have found creative ways to burn calories and still get an intense workout in.</p>
<p>Yesterday when we got to L.A.X. Marriott Heather and I had to walk 2 miles to the closest CVS to get some water and things for our hotel room.</p>
<p>So I decided to walk back the 2 miles with the 4 gallons of water!  Let me tell you it was a tough workout not only because I had to carry the water, but because I actually did several sets of shrugs, several sets of upright rows, and several sets of curls while walking.</p>
<p>My arms were ready to fall off by the time I got back to the hotel.  But it was a GREAT Workout and the weather in L.A. was amazing.</p>
<p>Ill keep the updates coming while on vacation can&#8217;t wait to get to my goal and shave this thing off me.</p>

<p><strong>How To Gain Muscle And Burn Bodyfat At The Same Time</strong></p>

<p>What is your &#8220;big dream?&#8221;</p>
<p>I have two:</p>
<p>&#8211; To make an impact on the lives of over 10M people before I die;</p>
<p>&#8211; To have a family that&#8217;s mobile so I can live in many places.</p>
<p>Not bad, right?</p>
<p>Want to know a &#8220;third&#8221; dream of mine?  One that I saw become a reality a few years ago?</p>
<p>To gain muscle AND burn bodyfat all at the same time.</p>
<p>It&#8217;s like a pipe-dream that somehow worked its way through the pipes and into my gym.</p>
<p>It is not easy, granted, but you can do it.</p>
<p>Almost anyone can do it.</p>
<p>You just have to train and eat in a very specific way.</p>
<p>Listen:  You do NOT want to just &#8220;burn bodyfat&#8221; or god-forbid &#8220;lose-weight&#8221;&#8230; that will not give you the body you want.</p>
<p>You absolutely MUST shape your muscles, tighten and tone, and burn bodyfat.</p>
<p>And you can do it at the same time.</p>
<p>Most pros disagree with me. They think it is metabolically impossible to gain muscle while in a state of low-calorie dieting.</p>
<p>They are wrong.</p>

<p>I remember a friendly argument with my co-author of Fit Over 40 Tom Venuto. It all started when I told Tom how I was eating and training for my last peak. A peak is where you lower your bodyfat and try to maintain as much muscle mass as possible.</p>
<p>&#8220;There&#8217;s just no way I could ever get in shape eating and training like that,&#8221; says Tom. &#8220;Sure you could man&#8230;what are you, a mutant?&#8221; Tom fires back, then me, then Tom&#8230;.and so it goes. (I really didn&#8217;t call Tom a mutant. That was creative liberty.)</p>
<p>So why are so many fitness pros like Tom freaked out about my training and nutrition plan? Simple: I claim it burns fat while building muscle at the same time. Every time I read an article by some doctor or expert claiming it&#8217;s &#8220;biologically impossible&#8221; to gain lean muscle mass on a hypocaloric diet (a diet low in calories) I just laugh.</p>
<p>I do more than make claims&#8211;I have proved this to be true many times. I&#8217;ve had my bodyfat hydrostatically measured during several peaks. In all but one I showed an increase of muscle mass and a decrease of bodyfat during a 12-16 week period. The one time I didn&#8217;t show an increase in muscle mass when was I was training the most in the gym. That may not make sense right now, but it will in a moment.</p>

<p>My routine is I run 1mile in the morning on an empty stomach before breakfast then another before lunch, and yet another before dinner.</p>
<p>Sometimes I am way to sore to do the dinner one so I&#8217;ll just take a brisk arm swinging 30 minute walk after dinner!</p>
<p>So this afternoon&#8217;s run was AWESOME!!!!!</p>
<p>And here&#8217;s the crazy thing&#8230;I look forward to each and everyone.  You know why!</p>
<p>Because my best friend Alex Downey turned me onto cadence a couple months back!</p>
<p>See he was a marine and in the marines they sing cadence when they run!</p>
<p>So he told me to try it and I did.  I went to itunes and bought the Navy Seals Cadence it was only $8 the best $8 i&#8217;ve ever spent!</p>
<p>When I hear it I feel like I part of the group.  You can hear them marching and helicopters and jets flying over head.  It&#8217;s intense!!!!  And SUPER MOTIVATING!</p>
<p>Because you go into a meditative state, and chant EMPOWERING WORDS making you believe and achieve an amazing run&#8230;and also making you look forward to more!</p>
<p>It&#8217;s awesome and I highly recommend it&#8230;GO TO Itunes Now and Download Navy Seals Cadence and start running TODAY!</p>
<p>Do the best you can, if you&#8217;re new to running start by measuring out 1mile then run 1 minute and walk the next minute and run the next minute and walk the next and so on and so forth!</p>
<p>Listen to the cadence while you do this and SAY OUT LOUD&#8230;Yes people will think your crazy, but NO ONE Will mess with you, if you don&#8217;t say out loud you won&#8217;t feel empowered&#8230;.PLUS it makes you breathe properly too&#8230;IT&#8221;S AMAZING!</p>
